“Buffalo Bill Center of the West: Draper Museum Raptor Experience”
The Draper Museum Raptor Experience will bring a Red-tailed Hawk for an educational program outside at the Riverton Museum. There will also be an obstacle course set up to demonstrate the dangerous journey that birds face during migration. Guests should arrive before the event begins at 11am and anticipate leaving around noon.
“Allan Maybee and Roger Melton: 2001 Jet Ski Expedition”
The Riverton Museum is hosting Allan Maybee and Roger Melton for this Wyoming Community Bank Discovery Speaker Series on June 12th from 6-7:30pm.Historians Allan Maybee and Roger Melton will be presenting on their record breaking 2001 expedition where they traveled 5,100 miles from New Orleans to the Pacific Ocean on their Genesis I jet ski, following the route taken by Lewis and Clark’s expedition at the start of the nineteenth century.
“Libby Flats” Book Launching and Signing
Libby Flats, a new novel by Alan O’Hashi, who lived in Lander for many years. It is a coming –of-age story about how old and new friends confront their differences and discover the power of forgiveness. The story happens during the twilight time of life when long-lost pals are closer than family and culminates at Libby Flats in the Medicine Bow National Forest.
