Karl Falken will combine the stories of two of his ancestors who served in the Civil War, one in the infantry and the other in the cavalry, with an introduction to how in the aftermath of the Civil War, the Grand Army of the Republic organized for the benefit and betterment of veterans and their families.
“Riverton Museum Rendezvous Experience”
The Riverton Museum is hosting CJ Vandermeulen from 1838 Rendezvous for this Bailey Tire/Pit Stop Children's Exploration Series program on May 11th from 11am-12pm.
CJ has helped set up multiple, highly authentic Rendezvous events, including one in our own Riverton Museum! Come learn about the historical Riverton Rendezvous and the hardships of the trappers, and see their authentic equipment. CJ will also be bringing furs and hides, as well as other historical props, for kids to look at and touch.
“Christmas Open House”
The Riverton Museum will host their annual Open House and Free Museum Day on December 11th from 10am-4pm.
