The Riverton Museum is holding its annual pumpkin trail event on October 18th from 5-8pm.

Stop by the Riverton Museum at any time from 5-8pm on October 18th to vote for your favorite pumpkins carved by local organizations and businesses in Riverton. You can also enjoy free hot chocolate and cookies, compliments of the Riverton Museum.

We will be driving down to Sinks Canyon as a group and exploring the boulder choke cave, a geological wonder known for its river that disappears into a limestone cavern. We will be exploring the inside of the cave and learning about the geological features and natural history of Sinks Canyon.

“Gas Hills Uranium Trek with Zach Larsen”

Local uranium expert Zach Larsen will be leading this trek out into the Gas Hills, the site of the first uranium found in Fremont County. We will be learning about the history of Wyoming’s uranium industry and exploring many of the sites in Gas Hills. Participants are responsible for bringing their own sack lunch and water.
