J.B. Okie, a sheep tycoon built this beautiful home in 1901. Okie first came to Wyoming to work as a cowboy in the summer of 1882 at the age of 17. That fall, he borrowed money from his mother to start his own sheep flock That first winter, he made many mistakes, but learned from them. Within a few decades, he owned tens of thousands of sheep, and had built an empire in the Wyoming sagebrush, which included this beautiful home.
