Local philatelist Stan Grove traces the early history of Fremont County and some of its leading figures through a unique and extensive assemblage of postal artifacts, compassing the South Pass gold rush days, the establishment of military forts and Indian agencies, and the exploreing of small post offices through the early 1900s. This history is contextualized by a broader sampling of Wyoming postal-history items.

“National Bighorn Sheep with the Riverton Museum”

The National Bighorn Sheep Center is coming down to Riverton to educate on disease prevention among sheep. We have fun, educational games prepared on the topic, and an activity where kids can pretend to perform tests on sheep. We will also be joined by the Riverton Dutch Oven Club who will be demonstrating the wide variety of dishes that can be prepared in Dutch ovens!

Historic T-Cross Ranch Tour

Join us at the museum to leave for the T-Cross Ranch where Jackie Blakeman will take us on a tour of this historic ranch located north of Dubois on Horse Creek.  The ranch is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
