Kids’s Corner: Nature’s Hide-and-Seet

Microbiologist and educator Karen Sullivan will present “Nature’s Hide-and-Seek:  How color makes it easier to survive.” The program and activity will encourage children to discover the fascinating role that color plays in helping animals survive in the wild.

The Oldest Dinosaur in North America

Did someone say dinosaurs?  If you enjoy bones and rock, join us on Sunday, June 29th, at 2:00 at the Dubois Museum.  The paleontological team led by Dr. David Lovelace of the University of Wisconsin Madison Geology Museum will present their scientific findings.  These include North America’s oldest dinosaur “Ahvaytum bahndooiveche” named in the Shoshone language found near Dubois.

Historic Ramshorn Ranch Tour

Join us at the museum to leave for the Ramshorn Ranch located in the DuNoir Valley west of Dubois. This ranch has some of the most beautiful views as well as a rich history.  The ranch has been owned by the Prine Family for several generations, and Craig Prine will tour us around the buildings as well as some tie hack ruins in the nearby woods.
