Dig into the field of Archeology with a dig box, wall painting, snacks, crafts, and more for the whole family at the Riverton Museum from 2-4pm!
View the petroglyphs at Castle Gardens and learn about the Bureau of Land Management’s efforts to preserve them. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the Riverton Museum at 307-856-2665. $20.00 per person. This trek requires a good amount of walking- Please dress accordingly.
The Pioneer Museum will present this Wind River Visitors Council Adventure Trek Series program on June 18th from 1-3pm. Visitors will learn about some of the Native American rock art on this trek with local archeologist Jim Stewart.
Join us as we learn all about fossils! We'll discuss just what a fossil is, and learn how they form under the ground over the years. We'll meet the trilobites, and discover how scientists figure out their lifestyles and their classification. We'll also show you how to make your own fossil casts using plasticene and moulding plaster.
