“Sasquatch in the Dubois Area: with John Mionczynski” May 7 7pm

John Mionczynski is a wildlife biologist for the North American Ape Project based out of Idaho State University, Anthropology Department.  Since 1998 his job has been to catalog and follow up on sightings, tracks on the ground, family stories, and tribal histories of past encounters with the enigmatic creature known as bigfoot or sasquatch.

His interest in this subject began in 1972 when he was asked to investigate unusual reports of man-like hairy primates on the Shoshone National Forest.  This investigation led to physical evidence that was compelling enough to hold John’s interest for the next five decades.

He and anthropologist Dr. Jeffrey Meldrum, co-founders of the North American Ape Project, have lectured all over the United States and Canada on the subject of the science of sasquatch.
