Richard Maturi will present a Wyoming Humanities Council Roads Scholar program as part of the Wyoming Community Bank Discovery Speakers Series at the Pioneer Museum in Lander on April 20th at 7pm, titled, "Triple Crown Winner".
Western Jockey, Earl Sande, Captures American Horse Racing's Triple Crown in 1930 on Gallant Fox. Of the many thousands of jockeys and horses who have plied America's turf, only twelve men have ever won the Triple Crown. The program looks at the life and career of western jockey, Earl Sande and is illustrated with vintage photos from the Golden Age of Sports.
The program is free to the public.
